The subjective product debate wasn't really the original point I was making. I was just trying to point out that an actual self-contained MFA solution would drop right in out of the box, which I know from having done it.

If it's just as easy to deploy something that's not self-contained, then there shouldn't really be anything new needed. I don't happen to think that's true, but if I'm wrong, then that's fine, so much the better.
