I did some analysis and I don't believe that vt-ldap and ldaptive aren't affected for the configurations that ship with the IDPs.

I’m presuming the double negative is actually a single negative here, right?

There is actually a bug in the code that would cause an NPE if anyone configured things in a manner that would exercise the getPeerHost() weirdness.

Huzzah for bugs.  Thank you very much for taking the time to investigate this.

Have we heard any further from Oracle whether they consider this to be a bug that they’re addressing?
