Shibboleth and PeopleSoft

Today, our organization's PeopleSoft environments authenticate directly against LDAP.  We have an interest in authenticating users via Shibboleth instead.

We understand that PeopleSoft has no native SAML support, and I've reviewed some of the threads here:  http://marc.info/?l=shibboleth-users&w=2&r=1&s=peoplesoft&q=b .  So, I'm aware that some organizations have built a proxy-based solution to deal with the issue.

I'm wondering if any organization on this list has built SAML support into PeopleSoft using PeopleCode or some other method, and could share their experiences with us.
