Shib SP newbie here...Install Shibboleth SP on each host?

First time deploying Shibboleth SP...

I have an application running on a server that does not support SAML, and
I'm wondering how Shib SP fits into this puzzle. We are using a IDaaS
provider for our IdP.

Do I need to install Shibboleth SP on each application host? For example,
if I have X applications each running on a host, will I need to install
Shib SP on each host? or will a single Shib SP host suffice?
