I started working with SAML a couple of months ago [1] and have been
lurking on this list. I'm a veteran of many open source projects and
have seen both the good and bad. Far too often project email lists are
filled with unhelpful belligerent attacks directed at those who are
perceived to be less knowledgeable or user questions simply go unanswered.
The best projects are lead by one or more people who foster a climate of
collaboration and healthy dialog. For reasons that elude me this quality
is rare. I have noticed that Scott in particular, as well as some others
give tremendously of themselves by answering all manner of questions
with respect and thoroughness in a very timely fashion. In my book that
deserves a hearty thank you! You should know it's very appreciated and
it's not lost on me the amount of time devoted to fostering this
excellent climate. Once again thank you.

[1] We are developing an authentication portal
(https://fedorahosted.org/ipsilon/) that includes SAML2. In particular
I'm adding ECP support. We've set up both a Shibboleth Idp and SP to
test against.
