Not just Dawsonera...

So it turns out several providers aren't working, so a more generic problem (EBSCO added to the not working list - for the record, Google Apps was my second test).

Any suggestions of what to look for in the logs much appreciated (I've checked the free disk space, there's about 1gb available).
