Ok, then there's nothing terribly obvious that would involve the SP unless you're load testing and seeing problems, in which case the problem is likely artificial and caused by a particular issue in the SP that's easy to work around.
Assuming it's something you're seeing in regular use, there's nothing the SP should be causing, but I don't have the cycles to do any sort of in depth analysis privately. I'm happy to answer questions here.
As far as logging goes, DEBUG certainly can be a problem, anything lower isn't going to matter much. Unless you're using a remote syslog or something like that.
