Don't recall, certainly before 2.5.0, probably 2.4.3. I rarely would make
a change between minor updates.

Solaris always has issues as a general rule. I'm sure something will fail
to build without some tinkering, whether it's something fatal or not is
impossible to say.
All of the material in the wiki is applicable to any version of Solaris,
so as soon as something pops up that makes it impossible to follow those
instructions, you'll have an answer. The one thing you will never make
work is Sun CC without the stlport option, and if that doesn't work on the
compiler that works on 9, you either use GCC, or you're out of luck.
I will not formally support it in any case. Solaris 9 is EOL for anybody
not paying Oracle for support, and any OS in that state becomes
unsupportable for an open source project like this one.
