Solaris 9 and Service Provider 2.5.3

We are looking to leverage the latest version of the Service Provider however in the documentation (https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SHIB2/NativeSPSolarisSourceBuild) it states that it's only been tested on Solaris 10 or 11.  Which version of the Service Provider had been tested with Solaris 9?  In addition, would you see any potential issues with installing Service Provider 2.5.3 on Solaris 9?
