Shibbolth SP on windows 2008R@ and IIS7.5

Hi all.  I am new to this list.  I am currently pulling my hair out over this.  I am installing Shibboleth SP ver. 2.5.3 on a Windows 2008R2 server with IIS 7.5. I have ssl certs installed.  I go through the initial install and ensure that all the isapi filters are in place and allowed.  I go to https://localhost/shibboleth.sso /status but all i get is "This page can't be displayed. "  I have checked everything I can think of but I cannot get this to work.  I also changed the logging level to DEBUG but nothing seems to be logging in the native.log.   Has anyone successfully installed SP on this platform?   Any help would be much appreciated.
