Hostnames are intended to be hostnames.  The installer is just building a configuration files from templates for your convenience.  You can pick pretty much whatever you’d like for any of it as long as a client would resolve it and an SP recognize you.

without having to create a (new) urls like http://sp.mycompany.gr<http://sp.mycompany.gr/>, http://idp.mycompany.gr<http://idp.mycompany.gr/>.
