Question about idp and sp urls

Hello to everyone. I am trying to understand and make Shibboleth work on
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. One of my questions is that when I installed IDP, I have
set "Fully Qualified hostname":

dspace.atc.gr*/idp*

Similar, regarding SP I have set the ServerName: dspace.atc.gr/sp

Is this acceptable? The address dspace.atc.gr is my localhost (
http://dspace.atc.gr/) and I would like to be able to test the installation
with urls like:

http://localhost/sp (e.g. https://dspace.atc.gr/sp/Shibboleth.sso/Status)
http://localhost/idp

without having to create a (new) urls like http://sp.mycompany.gr,
http://idp.mycompany.gr.
