Signed Authn request -sha256

Hello,
We are using Shibboleth SP version 2.5.3. We have multiple host entries in
our shibboleth2.xml. One of the Identity Providers requires the
authnRequest to be signed using sha1 and another using sha256. Is there any
way to specify the signature method in the ApplicationOverride element. I
am sure this has been asked before but couldn't find one in the mailing
list.
