Network issues causing SPs to timeout

Scott,

Sorry for the lack of details. Buried in a long email thread going around campus I saw this line:

" We are seeing a lot of slowness which are leading to timeouts on the Shibboleth SSO service (LMS, Benefits etc..)."

All I know is that those SPs are SaaS and not hosted on campus. I'll see if I can get more details.

In what sense are they timing out?

The only timeout the IdP has is if it connects to something, so you can always change those, sure. They should be no more than 1-3 seconds anyway, so the overall response time oughtn't be that high. I guess it depends on the error tolerance you have.
