We are having an Installfest at University of Utah in November. Everything David says is correct.

The training is more focused on getting the SP up and running. While we do mention ApplicationDefault/Overrides, talk about discovery, and even practice various types of content protection/session initiation, the class doesn't have you go very deep into it. That said, the benefits you would get out of the class would then be mostly having 1-2 days of sitting in the room with the instructors, and being able to engage them in discussion about your use-cases as well as how to configure the SP to meet your use-cases.

Has anyone attended one of the Shibboleth SP training sessions offered by InCommon?

I have some experience now with the Shibboleth SP, but I'm getting into some of the more complicated stuff (complicated to me, anyway... :-) like ApplicationDefault/ApplicationOverride, Apache content settings, running multiple vhosts/applications on a single host with a single instance of shibd, or configuring different local embedded discovery services for different applications.

Would the SP track of the InCommon training help jump-start my learning process for this stuff, or is it focused more on the basic process of getting an SP up and running, as opposed to more advanced configuration options?
