Current dreamspark program ...

From what I can tell, there’s actually two ways of getting to Dreamspark.
The first is for Dreamspark Premium, sold (usually? always?) via Kivuto. EntityID of their RP is https://e5.onthehub.com. SAML authentication to that works just fine.
The second is for Dreamspark Standard. Go to www.dreamspark.com and create an account. It asks you to verify your student status. For us, when I check several months ago this was set to do email verification (even though we used to do SAML authn to the old dreamspark entity). I had to get in touch with Microsoft (avesupp at microsoft.com) to ask them to switch us (back) to SAML authentication.
HTH…
Rhys.

The premium software is only available to our STEM department. We pass the isMemberOf attribute as outlined in that link, which Kivuto uses to determine eligibility.

My last exposure to this program was years ago; back then, students used Shibboleth to access the service, and there were no charges. Apparently much of that has changed. Today, there are licensing charges.
