Just a post back to get you by tomorrow. 

The file is not passing the schema check due to a misplaced <SingleLogoutService> element.  
The lines are misplaced in the generated metadata file (IDP-528).

To get past this you can delete these three lines or comment them out. 
Once you do that your file is registered just fine but, you should rename it to something unique :-)
