I have yet to get anything to build successfully in the build service, and
my emails to their mailing list have gone unanswered. [1] I will most
likely file a bug this week about it.

It builds and works fine AFAIK. Noting that I have yet to learn anything
about this gratuitous change to init.d daemon management, so there are no
updated scripts to support all that. I haven't spent any time with 7 at
all yet.
