using JSON in ECMA scripted attributes?

The version of rhino that ships with IdP 2.4.0 doesn't seem to have the
JSON classes.
Is it possible to parse / encode JSON in scripted attributes w/o upgrading
the version of rhino that comes with the IdP distribution?
