Recommended method to configure custom maintenance page with Shibboleth SP and Apache HTTPD

I suppose that would depend on whether you are protecting everything with the SP (ie. Shib settings keyed to /), or to an specific path (/myApp)
Can you show is the contents of you httpd config with regard to Shib?
