Dear ShibUsers,
let me share with you the following opportunity I received from David, for supporting one of his customers ONSITE in Malta which is in charge for a solution which integrates Office 365 and Shibboleth (based on LDAP running on Windows).
They've already implemented this solution and leveraged the Shibboleth / Office365 federation online training http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Igi0sUgeuE0&list=PLzp167WWyvMLpvQeNeurJzbF6yPOeadOS, so they need additional support as detailed below.

Feel free to contact David directly.

Kind regards,

Mauro

Subject: Shibboleth and OPEN LDAP

Hello Mauro,

Thanks for your time this morning.

I have a customer who is a center who cater for government and government ministry support, including providing support for the government schools/ hosting etc.

The customer has a network divided into 2 areas - education and government (Segregate on 2 different Active Directory)

The customer uses open LDAP for authentication

The primary need is as follows:

· Open LDAP and office 365 scripting (Powershell) + Shibboleth training (beginner /medium and advanced level) - PowerShell scripting we will handle -we just need the Shibboleth and OPEN LDAP trainer

· They want to prepared in the case our office 365 service changes - they want to be ready to modify, (if necessary) their environment

· In the future - Open LDAP may be removed and AD put in its place - if this happens they also want to be prepared of the consequences here.

So in a nutshell I need a very good OPEN LDAP/ Shibboleth person I can speak with to organize a number of training sessions ONSITE in Malta. They want to be prepared in the case of any changes, and service their own customers who may have issues with Office 365 service, and provide the best support experience for them. The training would likely be set out over the course of months - next year, starting early Feb/March for example.

They have a number of programmers who will have to have a "paradigm shift" and start to learn more admin style operations. Hopefully the trainer will understand and apply this.

Right now the customer's 1st line of support is educational helpdesk (2 people at most 3) - dealing with phone calls. They would filter incoming calls (office 365 /scripting issues/Fronter/ or something totally different like issues with interactive whiteboard).

The current helpdesk (8:30 till 3:00)- Monday to Fri

In addition there are another 2 full time (From 11 - 8pm) - their knowledge is entry level (MITA - will be replace with tech people) - only teachers at this time. There are some 7000 teachers on this setup. Moving to Q4 2014. (Additional 30K users)

Thanks so much and I look forward to see if you can help me find the right person.

Cheers
