You are seriously overstating your needs unless you work for Google or
Facebook, or you're putting the IdP in the middle of actual mail clients
(e.g., ECP for Outlook with Office 365).
To give you some perspective, we have 100,000 students and employees, and
we do 250,000 logins a day (plus all the usual errors and mistypes) on a
routine day. We wouldn't come anywhere *close* to 100 per second at our
peak. We might hit 10, at the absolute heaviest times.
