Shibboleth 2.3 with SSO web client - mininum steps

Hi,

We got shibboleth 2.3 up and running,

We got a external business partner, going to integrate with our
applications. The external application is a Web Application.

We got a task to make sure SSO is working for this new external client with
ours, the client confirmed it is SAML 2 compliant,

>From Shibboleth IDP point of view, to achiche the SSO task (only), can some
one list step by step instructions.

The client is not a Shibboleth SP, we are confused on Meta data aspect, can
we achive this without any SP Meta data requirements, we got certificates
from Client though.
