Persistent Cookies with Shibboleth IDP?

Yeah I got that part. Was just wondering what you meant by java filter.
I'll look into what I can do with the username password servlet provided by
Shibboleth.

Servlet filters have nothing to do with custom login handlers, they're a
standard Java feature that can do anything to responses that they want to.

The login handlers have absolutely nothing to do with the session cookie
code.
