I'll look into what I can do with the username password servlet provided by Shibboleth.</p>

Servlet filters have nothing to do with custom login handlers, they're a<br>
standard Java feature that can do anything to responses that they want to.<br>
<br>
The login handlers have absolutely nothing to do with the session cookie<br>
code.<br>
