anyone have experience with OKTA ?

Hi,

one of our business offices is looking at a cloud-based app; that app 
wants to use OKTA as their "authn interface". This page on the OKTA site:

mentions SAML ...

has anyone on this list been down this road before ? Any thoughts, based 
on your experience ?

(Note -- I'm specifically having trouble understanding what value, if 
any, OKTA adds in a SAML situation. It looks like their primary business 
is synching users from ldap and AD into the cloud based app.)
