Thanks for all the advice so far.  I've had a look into Infinispan and
it looks by far the simplest and most reliable option.  I've downloaded
the zip file but it only contains the jar files and no readme - is that
right?  I'm assuming most of those files will need to go into
TOMCAT_HOME/lib but there will be some configuration files to amend too?
