Conceptual overview for developers, but not really anything to do with IdP
deployment.

I believe there's nothing a supported IdP has to do but use up to date
core config files and protect /idp/profile/SAML2/SOAP/ECP with the web
server so REMOTE_USER is set. Either port 443 or 8443 can be used
depending on the trust strategy desired to verify the IdP in the client.
