Good point. I was assuming that the attribute querying was as deeply
integrated into the pysaml SP as it is in the Shibboleth SP. But will
check with Roland :-)

Yes, a standalone script or binary without much overhead would be ideal
I think. In the best case it also would be useable on many platforms and
OSes without much change.
