Faster version of resolvertest for fast attribute queries?

What was your experience with Roland's pysaml2 (as I recall you
mentioned using that also)?
Not fast or not simple enough (probably needs a script to excercize
the module's functions taking credentials from additional command
line options or arguments, if you don't want to default them to the
location of the Shib RPM, for example) or does that not fit your
conception of "standalone" as it requires pysaml2 ;)
