Discovery Service/WAYF v1.2.1 Shibboleth service provider and simpleSAMLphp - cannot recognize federation metadata

Hi Rod/Peter,

The value supplied in the url attribute of wayfconfig.xml as described in:
https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SHIB2/DSAddMetadata

is where we supply the location of the federation metadata. Therefore, our
discovery page must be able to list/display the Idps that are
contained in the federation
metadata *provided*(?) that our Shibboleth SP's entity/metadata does
also exists in the
federation metadata.

So, by supplying it a location of the federation metadata that is
incomplete (meaning
it does not contain our SP's entity/metadata), it will not be able to
display the Idps on
our discovery page - this is the problem.

As I have said on my previous post, our SP's entity/metadata does
exist in the UK federation's metadata
that's why it's working perfectly.

Please enlighten me on this if I got it wrong or if I am missing some
points here.
