Hi, All,

I attached the question that I asked on July 17th. We are facing the same problem mentioned by Jeff in the following email archive:
https://lists.internet2.edu/sympa/arc/shibboleth-users/2011-01/msg00155.html

Two more questions:

1. Scott did mentioned "local logout". It is a solution in this case?
2. For the bug that Scott fixed in 2.4, is it a quick fix in shibboleth SP 2.3? Is there any record about which file had been touched?

Many thanks

Subject: partial log out issue with IDP 2.3.6, SP 2. 3

Hi,

Our current IDP is 2.3.6, and I was told that our SP is 2. 3. Currently, we have problem with our log out from our Moodle side. Here is the detail:

1. in moodle, we input following configuration:

    * Shibboleth Service Provider logout handler URL: http://csun.mrooms3.net/Shibboleth.sso/Logout
    * Alternative logout return URL: http://www.csun.edu

2. During the Shibboleth log out process, the session cookie is killed, but can't forward to the return URL by showing up following url, browser displays "Partial Logout" error http://csun.mrooms3.net/Shibboleth.sso/Logout?return=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.csun.edu

Brower side:
Partial Logout
You remain logged into one or more applications accessed during your session. To complete the logout process, please close/exit your browser completely.

3. If I refresh the browser, or replace the special character in URL, the browser will go to the return URL without any problem http://csun.mrooms3.net/Shibboleth.sso/Logout?return=http://www.csun.edu

I searched the archive, seems like there was a bug which was fixed by Scott in older version. I don't know why I still got this error with the new version. Please advice on how can I get it fixed.

Thanks
