Problems trying to compile log4shib

Hi all,
I finally have compiled and installed log4shib for SPARC 64bit:
liblog4shib.so: ELF 64-bit MSB dynamic lib SPARCV9 Version 1, dynamically
linked, not stripped
liblog4shib.so.1: ELF 64-bit MSB dynamic lib SPARCV9 Version 1,
dynamically linked, not stripped
liblog4shib.so.1.0.4: ELF 64-bit MSB dynamic lib SPARCV9 Version 1,
dynamically linked, not stripped
What I've done is downloaded the latest version of log4cpp, run the
configuration script using the same options as if log4shib. Run the
log4shib configuration script and replaced libtool file by log4cpp's which
is using a newer version of libtool:
src/log4shib-1.0.4> ./libtool-old --version
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.5.2 (1.1220.2.60 2004/01/25 12:25:08)

src/log4shib-1.0.4> ./libtool --version
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.5.24 (1.1220.2.456 2007/06/24 02:25:32)
Copyright (C) 2007 Free Software Foundation, Inc.

Once done that, I've just run make, make install and was very straight
forward. Why I did it this way? Because as per of my knowledge log4shib is
a forked version of log4cpp and theoretically the basis is the same.
I strongly believe, as Scott does, that there are some issues with
log4shib's libtool version.
Thank you all for your help.
Best,
