I would assume so, but if the only action is to click a link hosted by B, A isn't involved. At least not in any Shibboleth relevant way. SPs in SAML don't have any relationship with each other or any interactions within the basic SSO protocol.
So I don't know what error it would be returning, unless you mean it's an error from an application, and not from Shibboleth.
