debugging question

I want to verify my analysis is correct, as this is beyond my knowledge

There are two servers, A and B. Both use Shibboleth for authentication
* A user authenticates via Shibboleth onto server A.
* The user clicks a link to a shibboleth protected page stored on server B
* The user gets an error.

Now, Server A uses one style of shibboleth error (green black and white). Server B produces another style of error (Red, black and white). If the error page is green, black and white, does that mean that server A produced the error, and the user hasn't gotten to server B?
