Shibboleth with SSRS

Hi,
We are shortly going to be setting up Shibboleth to allow token based authentication from some web applications that are hosted outside of our domain. However I have another possible use in mind for our SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Basically I was wondering instead of using Kerberos for token based authentication for SSRS through report manager, is it possible to use Shibboleth? An idea of how this would be used is that by logging in to our HR portal which network authenticates, users could then click through to report manager (with the username being passed). Report manager would then use token based authentication to validate the users credentials and then display the reports if the credentials pass. I have noticed people asking this question, but haven't really found much information? See this google group: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/shibboleth-users/jl8_DAPCnEY/aMeY-rllNAAJ
Your help would be much appreciated,
Andy
