I'm glad it means more to you than it does to me.  Of course, this is just a very small part of the things I do.

I'm a professionally qualified and licenced instructor in a very different field to this one, it was drummed into me during my training that should my student ask what I might think was a dumb question, then maybe there is a problem with the way I'm presenting things.
This list is such a pleasant place to be I think I'm going to have to unsubscribe from it.

p.s. For anyone else who sees this, it turns out that they'd made a mistake with the browser facing certificate in the IIS install so all https traffic was dodgy.   I'm still not sure how "Request missing SAMLRequest or SAMLResponse form parameter" tells me that but the fault was aparent for all browser traffic so they realised it was not right.
