You can't protect the actual page with the DS in it, obviously, since that
would be preventing it from being seen prior to login.

The data source property is relative or absolute URL, not a filename. The
other possibility is it's not aliased properly by the web server to get it
visible.

I would only speculate that either the feed URL isn't really valid or that
the feed itself isn't in the right format.
