Preserving deep links

Hi:

I have a vendor looking to integrate with our IdP, among the business
flows, the vendor's application emails URLs, with URL parameter
details, to users, in the to-be Shibb protected application.

When a user clicks on protected application link, authenticates on the
IdP, will they be redirected to SP with the URL parameter details
preserved? i.e. the protected application, behind the SP, will be able
to retrieve the URL parameter details?
