Nothing I said implied that using them would change anything. I'm simply
saying that you're not using the right repository.

That's the only fix I can give you that typically results in that error.
You'll have to debug it via config.log.

Also consider whether the software you're using with an older verson of
Xerces can't be rebuilt instead.
