Upgrading the SP daemon for Ubuntu 8.04

 Hello all, 

I am looking to upgrade the SP daemon from version 2.2.1 to 2.3.2 along with OpenSAML 2.5.1 to address critical vulnerabilities documented at http://shibboleth.internet2.edu/secadv/secadv_20110725.txt.

Unfortunately, we are still running Ubuntu 8.04 and are using back-ported packages. Has anyone successfully upgraded to the most recent version of the daemon on 8.04?
