We do indeed use the applicationOverride, my mistake. So we have two applicationIDs sharing the same SS:mem. Could this be problematic? This is a high traffic server.
Off now to check the native.log.

native.log on DEBUG will show what internal operation it was invoking ahead of the error coming back.
It's also not clear if it's happening immediately on every attempt to do "something" where that something isn't clear, sporadically, after load, etc.
