Shibboleth WebAuthn Plugin V0.0.4 beta now available

The Shibboleth project is pleased to announce the first beta release of the WebAuthn authentication plugin for testing [1].

Please note that the beta build is **not** provided in the pre-release download folder like the previous alpha build. Instead of formally releasing beta versions for testing, we will be using nightly snapshots to enable faster deployment and feedback on feature changes and bug fixes (although we don't anticipate any major changes before version 1.0.0).

You can find the appropriate version for download by checking the project's Status page [2]. Additionally, installation instructions are available on the Plugin Testing Wiki page [3].

The beta version has almost the same feature set as the previous alpha, except for the ability to disable signature count updates on storage records. The main focus has been on enhancing the quality of the internal code base.

A beta release of a plugin is for testing purposes only and should not be used in production. Testers are welcome to provide feedback and report bugs on the project's issues page [4].
