Oddly enough, it's your [the Shibboleth project] use of Subversion that
got me started with Git around seven years ago. I wanted to modify the
IdPv2 code while developing an extension and track my changes. I
couldn't use Subversion because I did not have write access to your
repository, so I tried git-svn to record my changes with Git. I never
went back to Subversion after that... ;)
