HttpClient version 4.3 -> 4.5 ?

It's been on my mind, but it's not as simple as some other deps where
we just change the version in the POM, and if all the tests still pass,
we're good. My impression was that there are some potentially
"disturbing" technical changes going on in there...

It would certainly need a lot of testing, but it may also need code
changes too, or at least detailed review of our code. We have some
fairly complex custom things for HC, and we'd need to make sure that
all that was correct, or needed some changes, additions, etc ported
over. IIRC I'm also pretty sure they deprecated a bunch of stuff that
we would need to change on our side.
At this point, I'd propose we do it for a 3.4.
