SP Startup takes 20+ minutes

It won't touch anything there it doesn't know about, but that's always subject to change I guess.

I'm fine with the RFE, I just don't know how simple it will be to pull off, the filtering is in that code but is certainly ignorant today of whether the backup file was used. I'm sure it's possible, just not trivial.

I really, myself, just don't see much problem with it. We have the edugain feed loaded into shibboleth.net and apart from the ~2 minute startup on the very rare occasions it needs to be restarted, it's just not anything I pay attention to since it loads in the background.

20 minutes is obviously something totally different.
