First I'm hearing of it. Don't know if I'll get to it today but should be able to test it by tomorrow latest.

Note that if you ever upgrade the OS, your macports are basically unreliable as a rule according to the macports documentation. I don't tend to fully clean mine up when I do that because I don't really use them for anything important, but if you haven't done a complete reinstall and have done an OS upgrade, I would try that.
