In all seriousness, thinking about it more, I'm really certain that I
don't want to shib the metadata indexing code.  There's really no point.
We aren't using, so no reason to commit to API's that we aren't sure about.

In hindsight, I wish I'd done that work on a branch.  I started to, but
felt optimistic about getting it done.  Next time I'll know better. :-)

Either is fine with me.  But if we're going to have a call tomorrow, we
need to decide soon-ish.  Is there anything we actually need to discuss
in-person?
