Nginx support

Is there planned support / roadmap for native Nginx support for Shibboleth SP?  It's really nice to be away from tomcat and using Apache httpd, don't get me wrong. :)
I've patched httpd a few times over the past 12 months due to security fixes.  I don't recall having to apply a security patch to Nginx a single time in that same window.  Are there others in the community that would benefit from this?
