That's correct. Around 9:30 the following log line appears very often:

2015-02-06 09:29:16,322 - INFO
[net.shibboleth.idp.log.LogbackLoggingService:206] - Shibboleth IdP Version
3.0.0

What's odd is that the delta between entries varies; in the first ten or so
I see periods as low as 3s and as high as 42s. While some of those were
indeed script-driven service restarts, there are simply too many to explain:

$ zgrep -c "Shibboleth IdP Version 3.0.0"
/apps/logs/shib/idp-process-2015-02-06.log.gz
